ahm, one of Australia’s largest health insurers, has today launched its car and home insurance offering in partnership with insurtech disrupter, Open.
The two came to an agreement in 2020 after aligning strongly on brand values and technological capability and are today bringing two leading insurance products to market. As part of the arrangement, Open will administer the white-labelled car and home insurance products, managing everything from quote to claim, while ahm will promote the fully branded products to their existing customers as well as the wider Australian market. Both car and home insurance products will be underwritten by Hollard.
Co-Founder and Joint CEO Jason Wilby said: “Right from the get go, ahm and Open shared a vision for simple, technology powered car and home insurance that would deliver significant value for customers.
“Powered by our unique end-to-end technology, we’ll provide ahm customers with innovative products underwritten by Hollard that are backed with a market leading digital experience from quote to claim.”
Both newly launched products will sit alongside ahm’s popular health, travel and life insurance options, creating a simple one-stop shop for budget savvy Aussies and their insurance needs.
ahm Senior Executive Rob Deeming praised the partnership and is excited for what it will mean for ahm and its customers.
“Right through the ongoing COVID-19 situation, our customers have reinforced their need for flexible, simple products. Open and Hollard have both been able to rise to that challenge and help us develop compelling products that will adapt to the needs of our customers.
ahm and Medibank health insurance customers get up to 15% off car and up to 30% off combined home and contents insurance policies.
